VTU results are calculated using both internal and external marks. Many students focus only on exams and ignore internals, which can seriously affect final grades.
Internal marks are awarded by colleges based on tests, assignments, attendance, and internal assessments conducted during the semester.
External marks are awarded based on VTU end-semester examinations evaluated centrally by the university.
Strong internals combined with decent external performance ensure consistent VTU results and reduce dependency on revaluation.
